FCIR Radio Series Wins National Award

FCIR’s award-winning series, reported by Ashley Lopez, was the result of a collaboration between FCIR and Florida’s NPR member stations.

The Florida Center for Investigative Reporting’s radio series about the 11 constitutional amendments on the 2012 Florida ballot won second place for nationally edited series in the Public Radio News Directors Inc. annual awards.

The series, reported by Ashley Lopez, was the result of a collaboration between FCIR and Florida’s NPR member stations. The series was edited by Trevor Aaronson of FCIR, Amy Tardiff of WGCU in Fort Myers and Scott Finn of WUSF in Tampa.

Lopez’s series also received a first-place honor in Public Service in Radio Journalism at the Green Eyeshade Awards.
