The Florida Center for Investigative Reporting received a $25,000 grant from Renaissance Charitable Foundation.

The grant will be part of a new restricted fund to support reporting on national security, justice, surveillance and the impact on U.S. Muslim communities. The fund will focus on projects for national media outlets.

These projects will build on FCIR Executive Director Trevor Aaronson’s previous reporting for, among others, The Intercept, Foreign Policy, Al Jazeera English and Mother Jones.
