Hernandez

Hernandez will promote FCIR’s work and mission and interact with our readers and supporters on Twitter and Facebook. Hernandez will also help spread the word about FCIR’s upcoming summer journalism workshop for high school students.

A journalism student at the University of Florida and a native Miamian, Hernandez was a newsroom intern at the Miami Herald during her senior year at Coral Gables Senior High.

Hernandez, who speaks Spanish fluently, has contributed to The Huffington Post and is currently a beat reporter for ESPN Radio Gainesville/Ocala. She’s also a writer for The Independent Florida Alligator, the largest student-run publication in the United States. Earlier this year, Hernandez was selected to participate in Investigative Reporters and Editors’ Campus Coverage Project.
