In the map below, the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting shaded each county according to how much funding it received for Title I schools in the 2009-2010 academic year. Darker colors indicate more money received per Title I student, according to data from the Florida Department of Education. This education funding included state and federal stimulus dollars for low-income schools, which are measured by the number of students who qualify for free or reduced lunches. Click on a county to see how many Title I students that county had and how much money that county received from the state and federal governments. State funding figures for Okeechobee, Sumter, Hernando, Union, Taylor, Jackson and Holmes counties were not available.
