Florida Center for Investigative Reporting Executive Director Trevor Aaronson was elected to the board of directors of the Institute for Nonprofit News.

INN, formerly the Investigative News Network, is an organization of more than 100 nonprofit media organizations. INN’s mission is to provide education and business support services to nonprofit member organizations and promote the value and benefit of investigative journalism in the public interest. Funders include the Democracy Fund, the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
INN’s board of directors is composed of up to six public members, INN’s chief executive officer, and four executive directors from member organizations. Aaronson will serve a two-year term as one of the four executive directors from member organizations.
