Editor’s note: Thank you to everyone who donated to the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting on Give Miami Day. We raised $4,760 from 52 individual donors, in addition to a $1,000 incentive prize and a percentage match from the Miami Foundation. The Give Miami Day fundraiser has ended. However, if you’d like to make a tax-deductible contribution to FCIR, we would be honored to have your support. You may donate now by credit card or check.

FCIR’s Give Miami Day Fundraising Campaign, Dec. 12

Give Miami Day is here, and for the 24 hours of Dec. 12, your credit card donation to the nonprofit Florida Center for Investigative Reporting will receive a partial match from the Miami Foundation.

There’s never been a better time to support nonprofit investigative journalism in Florida. This is our most ambitious fundraising drive, and we hope to raise enough money to hire an investigative reporter to expand our coverage. To learn more about this fundraising effort, read the letter to readers from FCIR Associate Directors Trevor Aaronson and Mc Nelly Torres.

We need your support. Any donations by credit card of $25 or more up to $10,000 will receive a partial match from the Miami Foundation. Donations must be made by credit card from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec. 12 to be eligible for the Miami Foundation’s partial match. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation right now on the Give Miami Day website or by using this form:
