Jeb Bush

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is leading a new effort to bring Latino voters to the Republican Party, Politico reported Dec. 2.

The newly formed Hispanic Leadership Network will try to counter the forces of immigration foes in the GOP. In addition to Bush, its members include former Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez, an appointee of President George W. Bush, and former Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.).

The Hispanic Leadership Network will hold its first event in January — a two-day conference intended to help 2012 Republican presidential candidates reach Latino voters.
